Day Trip to Eskişehir

Eskişehir Tour Program 05.00 Gathering in the schoolyard and departure for Eskişehir 08.00 Arrival in Eskişehir and breakfast 10.00 After breakfast, we begin our tour in Eskişehir. After seeing the Porsuk Stream and taking photos, we visit the Devrim Car, located at Tülomsaş, the Turkish locomotive factory, which caused one of the most sensational events of its time. Right after that, we visit the Republic Works Museum, which includes the belongings of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and models of the Yavuz Cruiser, Muavenet-i Milliye, Nusrat Mine Layer, Alemdar Rescue Ship, Sütlüce Bandırma Ferry, and Savarona yacht. We tour the Cartoon Museum, where works from different eras and the present are exhibited. We see Odunpazarı, where the finest examples of 19th-century architecture are displayed. We walk through and photograph the historic Odunpazarı houses, which have preserved their original characteristics to this day. In Odunpazarı, we visit the World’s only Meerschaum Museum and the Kurşunlu Complex (mosque, madrasa, caravanserai, primary school, and fountain), and enjoy tea at the Ottoman House. We visit the Eskişehir Mevlevi Lodge, which is 150 years old, and usually have the chance to listen to a ney performance. 14.00 Regional lunch at the restaurant 15.00 Free time for visiting Sazova Park 16.00 Boat tour on the Porsuk Stream (optional extra) 17.30 Departure for Istanbul and arrival in Istanbul.
